The wriggling poses and blood sucking shapes have been carefully observed and meticulously modelled in clay before making the moulds. They are cast in delicious, quality chocolate and hand painted to give that glistening finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eAre the leeches realistic?\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs always, I passed them by someone with in-depth knowledge of the creature for approval before going ahead. My sculpts were checked out by the wonderful Robert D. Hicks, PhD. He is the former Director of the Mütter Museum and Historical Medical Library of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
