Learn to sculpt with chocolate clay

Join this unique chocolate sculpture class with Sarah Hardy.

Master chocolate clay techniques and create stunning edible artworks including chocolate beetles. 

If you are a CAKE DECORATOR, CRAFTER or HOME CHOCOLATIER

You'll master making chocolate clay, and sculpt and paint your first edible art pieces.

You will learn, practice and perfect via:

• 2 x recorded videos that you can watch over and over FOREVER 
• 2 x 1 hour live classes on Zoom with me - where you get to ask any questions and get them answered in real time.

The lives will also be available as recordings in your portal FOREVER.

We will work in small groups of 6-10 people.  Once I know your time zones I shall schedule the calls to fit within waking hours.

The classes that come after this will be recorded only, with no live instruction. Today's class is a lovely way to start and get to know some of you but it isn't possible to teach small groups like this going forward.

WHAT WILL WE BE MAKING:

• You will learn the techniques then sculpt beautiful Hercules beetles with crazy 'horns' and shiny carapace. 
• We will also construct  Egyptian decorative 'chocolate boxes' from chocolate bars.

YOU WILL NEED:

• A FOOD PROCESSOR- Something about 800W with a metal chopping blade - a bit like THIS ONE
• FOOD SAFE SCULPTING TOOLS
  • A dough scraper (for cleaning up)
  • A Vein Tool
  • A scalpel or tiny knife
  • A flexible stainless steel scraper-shaper

• FOR FINISHING
  • Food colouring dusts (like those used in cake and sugar work)
  • Confectionery Glaze

If you have no cake decorating tools or materials at hand I'd estimate the total you'd need to invest would be around £35 to get these basic tools and colours (This does not include the food processor and your chocolate).

TIMINGS

• 28th Aug - Sept 4th
  • A week to create your workspace, gather tools and get ready once you have the full info inside the portal.
• 5th - 11th Sept
  • Your first recorded lesson drops and you have the week to test techniques.
• 12th - 18th Sept
  • Our Live Class No 1 where we answer all questions and demonstrate solutions.
• 19th -25th Sept
  • Your second recorded lesson drops and you have the week to work at home.
• 26th - 2nd Oct
  • Our Live Class No 2 where we can answer further questions and share our work.

AFTER THIS I would love to put on an exhibition of your finished work on my Social Media profiles - if you are happy to share of course!

This service is available Monday-Thursday if you order before 10am. 

Orders placed before 10am Monday to Thursday will be dispatched that day with arrival the following day by 1pm.

Orders placed Friday to Sunday will be dispatched Monday for delivery on Tuesday (although we will try to dash out to the Post Office before this if we can)

• We ship Delivery Duty Paid to avoid you paying customs fees.

Pre-Order and Back-order products:
